When you decide to buy a “Projector Device” , you will come across a lot of options. When you try to evaluate these options, this time you will be lost among the “technical features” . Although we have given a lot of information about technical features in our previous articles, in this article, I will try to give a little information about which projector to buy with the most suitable option and at an affordable price , without going into too much detail.
In fact, when it comes to projectors, based on my experience and observations, I can say that Epson, Acer, Sony, Optoma and Benq are the most preferred projector brands in the world and in our country. It will be more profitable for you to choose according to these brands you want to buy.
One of the new fashion events , there are productions in the form of projection devices suitable for business and individual (consumer) use. There are plenty of options available for use in educational areas such as school or for personal use at home. Of course, at the first stage, you should decide which type of projection device you will buy. Actually, I think it's always advantageous to buy a business type projector. However, if you need a portable projector all the time, then it would be beneficial to make a choice suitable for individual (consumer) use.
In terms of technology, there are two productions in the form of LCD, LED and DLP . These two have advantages and disadvantages over each other. Just like petrol or diesel vehicles. However, both give the same result. DLP TechnologyIt is a fairly new technology and is the most frequently used and preferred type of projection device. They are light, less malfunctioning and durable products compared to other projections. The image is clear, high resolution and true color tones are used. No maintenance issues. Therefore, it is more preferred for long-term use. Compared to LCD DLP, it is an old technology and has a higher tendency to deteriorate. DLP Contrast feature is higher than LCD. However, DLPs are more expensive products in price. When it is broken, it costs more. Due to its compact structure, it may not be repaired by every service. Rainbow effect and stray light problems can occur over time. In terms of sharp image, LCDs are ahead of DLP. Although DLPs are better in terms of quality, LCDs are ahead in terms of sharpness. The use of LED projectors is not very common. I think the reason for this comes from the low ANSI Lumens. However, it is still a preferred variety. If you ask me, I recommend you to get DLP.
Ansilumen represents the luminous power-brightness of a projection device determined by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). In short, it is a value that determines how strong the light is against the brightness in the external environment. The higher this value, the clearer the image will be. For example, if there is sunlight coming from behind, then a projector with a high Ansilumen value should be purchased. Generally, the preference for normal use is 2000-3000 ansilumen.
According to the types of projectors, the lamp life (Lamp Life) is usually around 1000 – 3000 hours. Projectors automatically follow this time. For example, a device with a lamp life of 1500 hours will give a warning message in English . “The Lamp has been in use for over 3000 hours. You should purchase a spare bulb.” as. The most important event that extends the life of the projector is the cleaning of the air filter. In fact, it is recommended to clean every 300-400 trading hours.
Another feature is Wireless, HDMI, 3D features. Although 3D features and wireless features are not preferred, VGA and HDMI output are very important in a projector. It is useful to buy according to the VGA or HDMIoutput of the laptop you will use .
Contrast Ratio is one of the most important factors to consider when purchasing a projector device. Contrast (aka contrast) ratio is the ratio of the darkest image to the lightest image, or in other words, it is the difference between the brightest white and the darkest black. The higher this difference, the higher quality image will be obtained. Good projectors have a contrast of at least 100/1 on the screen. You may come across the concepts of dynamic and static contrast ratio where you look at the projection properties. The static contrast ratio shows the difference between the brightest and darkest in a single instant. Dynamic contrast ratio, on the other hand, performs this measurement within a certain time frame. Especially some companies give static contrast ratio, which is the most accurate value.
Lastly, other features are resolution and Zoom (Optical and Digital) event. Resolution means image quality. As the resolution increases, the image quality increases depending on the Ansilumen and therefore the price increases. 1024×768, 1280×800 or 1920×1080 are the resolution features that should be preferred. However, it is wrong to draw a conclusion that low resolution image quality is bad. Because with the technology used, it is possible to obtain a higher quality image. Zoom (Optical and Digital) event, just like in cameras, optical ones are of higher quality. However, digital ones with software can be preferred.
